Dandy Villas are pleased to present to you one of the two accommodations in Agios Nikolaos Karpenisi, Evrytania, the “Snowflake”.

We called it “Snowflake” because to our eyes it looks like a big bluish snowflake – the main color of the house. Winter, cold, snow, fireplace, coziness, Christmas – all these mark the most festive time of the year which here at the Snow Flake we celebrate to the fullest.

A beautiful, imposing, private house, with its own yard and parking, on the highest part of the village, overlooking the great church of Agios Nikolaos – after which the village takes its name – the mountains, the other houses of the village, the Snow Flake is a built gem with features of its own. The blue color of the house adds a feeling of tranquility and peace, ideal for travelers who wish to enjoy the tranquility of the beautiful mountain landscape.

In our premises, in this three-story brand new building, we accommodate up to 9 people.

Let’s start the virtual tour: Entering the main entrance of the house you will face the sunlit living room surrounded by many windows and a balcony where you can enjoy the panoramic view of the village. In the same area there is a specially made wooden fireplace where in the winter months you can drink your hot chocolate or tea, enjoying the all-white snowy landscape. The blue “heart” of the house beats here: the fully equipped kitchen with its dining area. Next to the front door is the necessary bathroom with shower.

Going up to the upper floor (attic) through an internal wooden staircase, on the right side there is a sitting area (open space) with a sofa bed (1.40×1.90 cm) from where you can enjoy the magnificent view towards the village.

On the left side going up the stairs you will be led to two bedrooms. In one bedroom there is a double bed (2.00×1.60 cm) with a window on the side – where depending on the time – you enjoy either the strong sun or the stars in the sky.

In the second bedroom of the house there is a bunk bed (2.00×0.90 cm) where 2 people can sleep with a huge window facing the back of the house and a green landscape.

Going down from the living room downstairs there is an open plan area with a large king size bed, made of tree trunks, and a corner fireplace. In the same space there is an office for remote workers and for those who have chosen: “business and pleasure”, a bathroom with a shower and an armchair that unfolds and can sleep 1 more person – presumably the child of the couple who will sleep in this master bedroom. This last space also has access to the yard of the house.

Finally, in the yard of the house there is garden furniture that will give our guests another option to live “the outside” as well as ” the inside”.

There is free parking outside the accommodation. In all areas of the house we have Wi-Fi so you can surf the internet whenever you need it.

We thought about what you would like and we created it. Now, all you have to do is enjoy it!

Enjoy your stay,

Rest and relax – like at home!

This blessed land has witnessed the long journey of man in history over time. The breathtaking beauty and countless secrets of Karpenisi make it the perfect starting point for discoveries: follow the footsteps of Greek guerrillas and modern explorers from Koryschades and the Monastery of Proussos, to Lake Kremasta.

Karpenisi invites you to a celebration of the senses. Let the smell of wood burning in the fireplace and of wet soil, the murmur of running water and the touch of snow, to lead you to a seducing landscape, to a beauty of bygone times, to Karpenisi that welcomes everyone!

Naturalists, who want to admire landscapes of unparalleled natural beauty. History enthusiasts, who wish to see Greek history unfold before them, from the Byzantine years to the resistance of ELAS, following the footsteps of Aris Velouchiotis and his comrades. Foodies, who in the villages around Karpenisi will find and taste spoon sweets made everywhere in the prefecture, delicious cold cuts, savoury cheeses and, naturally amazing dishes served in traditional taverns.

Mountain enthusiasts will fall in love with Karpenisi, the capital of Evritania, nested in the southwest sheltered side of Velouchi, at an altitude of 1000 m. surrounded by picturesque fir-clad mountains.

Note that Karpenisi is also one of the best and most healthy resorts of the world, with zero pollution according to a global survey by UNESCO.

Dandy Villas ΄΄Snowflake΄΄ welcomes you to the village Agio Nikolao, Karpenisi.

Live your own fairy tale in the village which, according to legend, is where the fairies live. Its legendary beauty stands just 7 km away from Karpenisi.

It is the first village to welcome you as you enter the prefecture, on the road to Karpenisi, and also the village that introduces you to the magical atmosphere of this place. A worthy ambassador of the area and an ideal starting point for discovering a unique world; a true reminder that whatever comes next will dreamy, at the very least.

In winter, Agios Nikolaos is like an alpine landscape. It is always in white, as it features the highest rate of snowfalls of all settlements in Evritania.

In the old days, the village was called Laspi (i.e. “Mud”), due to the peculiarity of its soil, which is very thick and became muddy after rain. Its current name is that of the namesake church of its central square, which was built in 1881 on the foundations of an earlier church.

A visit to Agia Paraskevi chapel, with the cold water springs, is a must-do.
